Indiana Dunes State Park : Beginning Bird Drawing and Painting Details:
As part of our 2016 Arts in the Parks series, Indiana Dunes State Park visitors are invited to attend a series of three Beginning Bird Drawing and Painting workshops with local bird artist, Kristina Knowski, at the Nature Center. These 4-hour workshops will feature hands-on help working from the park’s own mounted specimens to draw, learn, and paint some of Indiana’s diverse bird life and allow visitor’s to create their own original bird painting.
This workshop will actively engage State Park visitors by allowing an in-depth study to create their own original art working from life with the Nature Center’s mounted specimens. Visitors will discover their creative side with the help of professional artists, work with high-quality materials, and learn fun facts about native and migrating bird species of the Indiana Dunes. Finished projects can be taken home as a memorable souvenir to treasure from their trip. This workshop will repeat in 2017. Registration goes live November 1.
Who: Anyone, all ages and skill levels welcome
