HOURS: The Market will be held 10 am to 3 pm, every SUNDAY from May 3rd through September 27th, 2015

Our Market is open to any gardener or farmer selling fresh herbs, greens, fruits or vegetables, seedlings, flowers, plants or perennials. We are actively seeking vendors with prepared foods to sell - coffee cart, pastry cart, specialty canned goods and bread vendors. We also accept individuals selling arts or crafts. We will consider individuals offering services such as massage, information, charities and other conveniences.

Vendor Information: EZ Up Style Canopies measuring 10’ x 10’ are required. The Miller Market has tents available for a rental fee of $10. Vendors are responsible for unloading their vehicle, putting up their own tent and/or table and taking it down at/or after 3:00 pm on Sunday when the market closes. Vendors may set up as early as 9 am Sunday morning and set up must be complete by 10 am. We currently have  NO electricity or water. Porta-potties and a hand washing station are available at the site. Vendors may unload on site and will have parking available.

The Miller Beach Farmers Market is an extension of the Miller Beach Arts and Creative District. It is a not for profit endeavor that is self sustaining and relies on vendor fees and fund raising to cover expenses. In other communities, Farmers Markets are staffed and funded by the Parks and Recreation departments, with support from public services; currently, that is not possible in our community. We rely on volunteer workers and must provide on-site trash removal, sanitation facilities, and landscaping. Additionally, volunteers work on Market Development and Outreach during the week.

It is our hope and intention to see this effort grow and develop into a community space for meeting and greeting on a weekly basis from May through September.

Vendors must submit the following:

  1. A copy of  ONE of the following: (a.) Federal Tax Identification #; (b.) State Tax Identification #; ( c ) copy of Social Security Card;
  2. A completed application

FOOD CONCESSION / PRODUCE VENDORS: You MUST have a current Food Handler’s Card from the Gary Health Department, 1145 W. 5th Ave, Gary, IN 46402. 219/882-5565
